It's the end of an era.
Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) recently announced the discontinuation of the well-loved five-door hatch Jazz.
According to Honda’s automobile business unit in the Philippines, their dealer network will continue to sell the Jazz until supplies last.
HCPI President Masahiko Nakamura made the announcement saying that the company will shift focus on the current and upcoming models.
“The Jazz has been a remarkable nameplate in the Philippine market for around 13 years. However, as we continue to put an emphasis on meeting market demands, we have thoroughly studied the necessity of the models in our current model lineup. After careful consideration, we would like to formally announce the discontinuation of Jazz and all its variants, in order for us to shift our focus and resources to our current and upcoming models.” Nakamura was quoted as saying.
Initially introduced in the local market in mid-2004, it sold more than 25,000 units here. After its Philippine debut, it had two full model changes in 2008 and 2014. The third generation received a facelift in 2017, which also paved way for the introduction of the RS variant.
Since it now leaves a void in its hatch lineup, is Honda going to bring a replacement model?
