As community restrictions ease, many of us prepare to leave the work-from-home setup behind and are itching to take on new adventures of our own. And whether it’s commuting daily to work or spending the weekend in a secluded coffee shop, the best way to take on these adventures is aboard the all-new Honda CB500X.
Honda Philippines, Inc. (HPI), the number-one motorcycle manufacturer in the country, recently introduced the all-new version of its expressway legal, dual-sports adventure bike.
The new CB500X will be powered by a 471cc liquid-cooled four-stroke DOHC parallel-twin engine mated to a six-speed gearbox. It’s capable of putting out 46hp and 43.2Nm of torque. It boasts an excellent fuel economy with its 17.7-liter fuel tank capacity and a decently healthy 27.8kpl fuel consumption.
Thanks to its fuel efficiency and lightweight body, the all-new Honda CB500X is perfect for first-time riders and enthusiasts looking to take on almost all types of roads.
Not only can it take you through the expressways but it can also brave the rough roads of the provinces.
Stability on most terrains is provided by a 19-inch aluminum wheel at the front-end paired with a Showa 41mm SFF-BP USD forks suspension. At the rear is a 17-inch aluminum wheel that works with a Prolink Mono with a five-stage pre-load adjuster and a steel hollow cross swing arm suspension.
In terms of brakes, Honda equipped the new CB500X with dual disc brakes with Nissin axial-mount two-piston calipers at the front and a single disc brake with a single-piston caliper at the rear.
The all-new CB500X can be had in either Grand Prix Red or Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic. It comes with a sticker price of P380,000.
