Both motorcycles are powered by a 155cc engine. What is the price of the new Honda Airblade 160 and Click 160?
The new Honda Airblade 160 is priced at P119,900 while the Honda Click 160 is priced at P116,900.HPI President Susumu Mitsuishi disclosed the target for the two recently-introduced models to Carmudi Philippines at a recent test drive event at the Honda Safety Driving Center (HSDC) in Paranaque.
Per Mitsuishi, the target is to sell 20,000 units for each model in a full-year term.
To note, the local arm of the Japanese motorcycle brand is also eyeing the same volume for the new Honda Wave RSX.
The two newly-launched motorcycles have the potential to sell, thanks to the growing number of motorcycle users in the country. Apart from that, both the Airblade 160 and Click 160 boast appealing features that would help today’s motorcycle buyers consider Honda’s new motorcycles over the competition.
To start off, both motorcycles are powered by a 155 cubic capacity (cc) four-stroke, four-valve, single overhead cam, liquid-cooled, engine. Both engines are also fuel-injected, which make them fuel-efficient. The Honda Airblade 160 clocks in at 47.5 kilometers per liter (kpl) while the Honda Click 160 comes in at 46.7kpl — based on World Motorcycle Test Cycle (WMTC) standards.
The new engine delivers better power and improved torque. During the media test ride, both the Honda Airblade 160 and the Honda Click 160 proved to be peppier than their lower displacement predecessors. It had stronger pulling power in both the straightaways and when exiting curves.
Braking was also impressive and showed decent stopping power.
In terms of ride quality, the Honda Airblade 160 will wow customers with its plush seats and dual rear shock absorbers.
The Click 160, on the other hand, offered acceptable ride comfort — although we wish Honda equipped it with a similar set of two rear shock absorbers instead of just one.
When it comes to rider amenities, both the Honda Airblade 160 and the Honda Click 160 come with a full digital meter panel that displays relevant riding information. They also boast a new Type-A USB charger allowing owners to juice up their phones while on the road.
The two motorcycles also don new exterior designs with the new Honda Click 160 aimed at younger motorcycle riders and the Honda Airblade 160 targeting more mature riders.
HPI customers can cop the Honda Airblade 160 for P119,900 or the Click 160 for P116,900.
