Honda has recently revealed the 2023 version of the CR-V in the United States.
In a statement, the Japanese automaker arm in the US said that the sixth-generation CR-V is 4,694mm long, 1,864mm wide, and 1,691mm tall with a 2,700mm wheelbase — growing longer and wider with a significantly broader stance.
Powering the sport utility vehicle (SUV) offering is either a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine or a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder and two-motor hybrid system.
The Honda crossover’s latest version will be offered in four trim levels, including the new hybrid-powered and more boldly styled CR-V Sport and Sport Touring as the new top of the CR-V model line.
“The 2023 CR-V is launching this summer, with the Hybrid model launching later in the year,” Honda USA shared in a statement.
Honda USA said that the 2023 CR-V provides larger front-to-rear-seat couple distance and more rear seat legroom (additional 15mm) and the rear seats now feature eight angles of recline for heightened comfort.
The driver and front seats are equipped with new body-stabilizing front seats that reduce fatigue over long drives. The steering wheel angle is said to be more sedan-like.
Further, the 2023 Honda CR-V has a seven-inch driver information interface screen and a seven-inch touchscreen with volume and turning knobs with Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity. Moreover, a Qi-compatible 15W wireless smartphone charging is also available.
For safety, the compact SUV comes with a host of advanced active and passive safety technology, starting with the latest version of Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) structure — designed to route crash energy around the cabin.
The 2023 CR-V also features the new Honda Sensing suite of safety features that utilizes a new wide-angle camera and millimeter-wave radar.
Furthermore, it also has blind spot information traffic jam assist, low-speed braking control, traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, lane keep assist system.
