The all-new SUV will be available for pre-order in September.According to the Japanese automaker, the Honda ZR-V is based on the grand concept of “Unleash your potential.” The all-new ZR-V, per the Minato-based company, was developed as a model to uplift the spirit of customers, like a favorite “special day” piece of clothing, and bring out their individuality.
At the fore, the ZR-V boasts a two-part vertical grille with an upper section showcasing vertical lines while the bottom end reveals a mesh screen. The front fascia is flanked by sharp-looking, wide-set headlights that flow horizontally.
Meanwhile, the rear of the body is shaped to emphasize the vehicle’s wide tread by adding volume around the bottom of the body, with a smooth, upswept look.
Inside, the ZR-V appears to offer a spacious cabin with a high-deck center console separating the front seats to create personal space for the driver and front passenger. The hue of the interior reflects the crimson finish seen on the ZR-V’s exterior.
Honda reveals that the ZR-V SUV will be powered by the Sports e:HEV that combines a 2.0-liter direct injection engine, that debuted on the Civic e:HEV, and the advanced two-motor hybrid system (e-CVT). However, a gasoline-powered model equipped with a 1.5-liter turbo engine with CVT will also be available.
Honda will stage pre-launch exhibits in Japan. It will start with displays on the
“Big Man” square at Hankyu Umeda Station, Osaka, from August 13 to 14. It will be followed by an exhibit at the event space at Tokyo Station from August 20 to 21 and will be capped by another display at the JR Gate Tower at Nagoya Station in Aichi from August 27 to 28.
