Honda’s American arm recently announced a range of motorcycles which includes new and returning models from the Japanese motorcycle company. Covered in the reveal are no fewer than 12 models from five different categories including sport, miniMOTO, dual sport, scooter, and trials.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • How many models did Honda reveal for the US market for 2022 and 2023?

Honda announced 12 models for the US market.
  • What are the motorcycle segments covered by the reveal?

The segments involved are sport, miniMOTO, dual sport, scooter, and trials.
  • “We recognize that motorcycling comes in many forms, a fact that is reflected in today’s announcement. The models included are each unique, but they share a commitment to delivering the enjoyment of two-wheel recreation. We’re proud of the disparate nature of the motorcycling community, and we’re happy to serve all of its members in 2022 and beyond,” said American Honda Sports & Experiential Manager Brandon Wilson.

Headlining the announcement is the 2022 CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP sporting new performance upgrades such as intake ports, airbox, airbox funnels, and exhaust mid-section which helps squeeze more power from the race-bred motorcycle. It will be released in the US in July with a price tag of US$28,900.

It was followed by the 2022 CBR650R and the 2022 CB650R, returning for 2022. Both the sport and naked bikes will provide US motorcycle enthusiasts with iconic performance and practicality. The former excites riders with its sharp lines, complete bodywork and corner-carving abilities while the latter showcases Honda’s Neo Sports Café design theme through its smooth lines and compact packaging.

The 2022 CBR650R will be out in August priced at US$9,799 while the 2022 CB650R is slated to return to the US market in September with a sticker price of US$9,299.

American Honda also announced its miniMOTO lineup which includes the 2023 Grom and the 2022 retro Trail 125. The Grom will be offered in two variants in the US: the Grom and the Grom ABS. Both models come out on April with the former priced at US$3,499 and the latter for US$3,799. Similarly, the 2022 Trail 125 will be out in April with a sticker price of US$3,999.

The PCX also returns for 2022 (yes, similar to the one we have here in the Philippines), continuing as the benchmark model among scooters, and joined by the 2023 Ruckus (known here in the Philippines as Zoomer X). The PCX comes in two variants with the base model retailing for US$3,899 while the ABS variant is priced at US$4,099. The 2023 Ruckus will be priced at $2,899. Both nameplates will come out in April.

Honda also announced three dual-sport models for the US market: the incredibly popular CRF300L; its adventure-focused sibling, the CRF300L Rally; and the classic XR650L, which now comes in a new color.

The 2022 CRF300L will come with both a base model and an ABS model, priced at US$5,349 and US$5,649, respectively. The 2022 CRF300L Rally will also have similar variants with the base model sporting a US$6,099 price tag and the ABS model packing a US$6,399 sticker price. Meanwhile, the 2022 XR650L will be offered in a sole variant priced at US$6,999.

All three will come out this April.

Lastly, Honda announced two spectacular bikes, the 2022 Montesa Cota 4RT260R and the 2022 Montesa Cota 4RT301RR Race Replica. The former comes with a 259cc engine and is priced at US$9,199 while the latter is fitted with a 298cc engine and is priced at US$11,799.

Both bikes will be made available by May.
