Hongqi to expand EV roster in PH this year

MANILA: Hongqi will expand its electrified lineup for the Philippine market this 2025.

In a statement, EVOxTerra announced the upcoming launch of the EH7 and EHS7 — joining its electric vehicle stable made up of the H9 and E-HS9.

The two models — which had their debut at the recent Paris Motor Show — shall probably be introduced locally within the initial half of the year.

The company noted that the two arriving models “continue to gain global recognition and popularity as parent company FAW-Hongqi continues to develop new vehicles that are technologically advanced, and feature uncompromised comfort, performance, and safety that exceed global standards.”

Hongqi Philippines Rashid Delgado shared his excitement over the nameplates’ imminent unveiling in the country.

“What you’re about to see from Hongqi isn’t just your typical vehicle rollout. What we’re about to unveil speaks to a brand-new design paradigm for Hongqi. These models reflect a radical change in our design philosophy that we believe is as modern and innovative as the technology in the cars themselves,” he said.

According to him, the Hongqi EH7 and Hongqi E-HS7 will be the brand’s latest interpretation of electric luxury as seen in its body lines and internal architecture as well as next-generation battery and electric motor technology.

“We are truly excited to unveil the cars to the Philippines soon! With the continuously growing highly competitive EV landscape in the country, the Hongqi EH7 and Hongqi EHS7 will both make noise and stand out in our market,” Delgado added. 

Notably, Hongqi also has the following models in its showrooms at Bonifacio Global City, Manila Bay, Alabang, and Quezon City:
