The newly launched Volkswagen Multivan Kombi is not your average van. For starters, this vehicle is offered in quite a wide variety of body color options.
A buyer has 16 hues to choose from. This range, according to Volkswagen Philippines President Felipe Estrella III, could be the most number of colors offered in its segment.
Of the aforementioned number of tones offered, the local arm of the German automaker has immediately readied four: mono-colors Reflex Silver, Black Pearlescent, and the Bi-Color Reflex Silver/Starlight Blue with an upcoming Reflex Silver/Fontana Red in the coming months.
The remaining 12 color varieties, which are enumerated below, are to be available via indent orders:

Since we are on the topic of indent ordering: We asked Estrella just how long it will take for before customers get their hands on their Multivan Kombi in the preferred color?
According to him, the average turnover time of pre-ordered Multivan Kombi color option is “four months, depending on the timeline of each order.”
The long waiting period could possibly be attributed to the challenges regarding the distance from where it will be sourced. According to Estrella, the vehicle will be coming from brand’s Hanover, Germany facility.
This is a welcome development for purists as they will be assured of the German heritage that they are looking for knowing that it is sourced from its motherland.
The lead time would also help the cause the Ayala-backed distributor which has not set any sales target for the model, meaning it could receive as many orders as possible.
“As many as we can sell and as much as the public demands, since we have indent orders available for the public as well,” Estrella told Carmudi Philippines.
Pegged to meet the demands of the executive class, Volkswagen Multivan Kombi — which was launched locally last Wednesday (July 21) — is said to be the brand’s crème de la crème in the multivan offerings around the world. The introductory price starts at P3.595 million for the mono-color option and P3.64 million for the bi-color trim.
The Volkswagen Multivan Kombi is the second global model offered to the country after the brand refreshed its lineup back in 2018. The first model is the T-Cross, which was revealed last May.
