Hyundai Alabang, Commonwealth hailed as brand's top Trucks and Buses dealerships
Hyundai Trucks and Buses Alabang and Hyundai Trucks and Buses Commonwealth were recently hailed as the top dealers for the commercial vehicle segment in the premiere Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI) virtual awards.
These two dealerships bested 12 others that comprised the full Philippines network for the Korean vehicle manufacturer in terms of excellence in Sales and After Sales Operations, respectively.
In a statement, HARI noted that the this Dealer Awards—the first for the HARI CV business—has become more meaningful following the turnout of events caused by the dreaded Covid-19 situation. Themed as the the Great Reset, the latest program reflects HARI’s approach and renewed drive towards delivering its customer promise of “Right Care, A Step Ahead.”
The program was graced by Hyundai Motor Company (HMC) Commercial Vehicle executives, led by Executive Vice President and Head of HMC Commercial Vehicles Division Incheol Lee along with the HARI Board of Directors, spearheaded by President and CEO Ma. Fe Perez-Agudo.
In his message, Head and Senior Vice President of HMC’s Commercial Vehicle Export Group Don Ho Choi said that HMC is congratulating the dealer principals under the SV category. “Your good example in providing excellent customer experience inspires your colleagues in the Philippines as well as the global Hyundai network of CV distributorships. Keep up the good job.”
Meanwhile, the HARI chief commended the network’s united efforts at maintaining Hyundai among the Top Five CV brands in the country: “While COVID has impacted the economy, our business, and even our personal lives, it has not affected our aspirations for Hyundai Trucks and Buses to be a partner in every way towards a Better Normal,” she said.
William Chiongbian II, Dealer Principal of Hyundai Trucks and Buses Alabang, and Atty. Anna Lyne San Juan-Ponferrada, President of Hyundai Trucks and Buses Commonwealth, expressed their gratitude upon receiving their respective awards and recognitions.
“The pandemic has shown opportunities for the use of our public utility vehicles. We shall continue to be relevant. Our hearts are warm again today,” Chiongbian said.
“2020 has been a good year for all of us. This award will really inspire us and give us renewed energy to face the challenges ahead,” Ponferrada claimed.
To note, Hyundai Commonwealth is also this year’s HARI-Dealer of the Year awardee after surpassing 41 dealerships in the passenger car segment in terms of Sales, After Sales, Customer Relations Management, and Parts Operations.
Further, both the HMC and Agudo cited the CV dealership network’s positive response to recover from despite the challenges hurled during these unprecedented times. Such strength was the result from the dealers’ support for the implementation of the Hyundai Guidelines for Protection and Safety (GPS).
HARI said that their CV division had the following milestones:
- The first brand to launch commercial vehicles with safety and social distancing provisions for the new normal using the HD36L medium truck and the HD-50S Modern Jeepney Class-2 and 3 platforms.
- Recognized as Hyundai’s Best in Aftersales Operations 2020 for the third straight year, besting over 50 distributors of Hyundai Trucks and Buses worldwide.
- The first player in the country’s Public Vehicle Modernization Program (PUVMP) to complete its lineup of three Modern Jeepneys certified by the Department of Transportation
To cap the event, Agudo dared the 14-dealer network to put Hyundai trucks and buses at the forefront of the country’s economic recovery:
“Let us remain as solid, as sensible, and as adaptable as the products that we sell. This is what RESET for HARI CV is all about: Resilience in the face of present and future challenges. Always aiming for the perfect execution of your innovative programs. Quick to set aside a good idea for an even better one, in the spirit of synergy. Because the be-all and end-all is to deliver a winning Customer experience. Pursuing that goal with the tenacity of a champion. This is how we forge on in the face of uncertain times to achieve a BETTER NORMAL for all—our customers, our industry and our economy.”
