The heavily updated Hyundai Palisade made its debut at the 2022 New York International Auto show (NYIAS), showcasing significant overall improvements.
“The enhanced 2023 Hyundai Palisade offers the design appeal and features worthy of Hyundai’s flagship SUV. More than ever, Palisade is the ultimate family vehicle for daily use and memory-making road trips,” said Hyundai Motor North America Product Planning and Mobility Strategy Vice President Olabisi Boyle.
At the fore, the 2023 Hyundai Palisade boasts a new front grille flanked by new headlamps and daytime running lights. Its side is highlighted by a new multi-spoke alloy wheel design while the rear offers a new bumper fascia.
Its interior updates include a new instrument panel, gauge cluster, and audio interface design as well as a new steering wheel design, new seating surfaces and materials, an ergo-motion driver’s seat, second-row armrest angle adjuster, heated third-row seats, and an acoustic-laminated rear door glass (available for the Palisade Calligraphy model).
Hyundai also updated its infotainment and convenience features with a 12-inch navigation screen with 720p resolution, a digital full-display center rearview mirror, a WiFi hotspot, enhanced connectivity ports, enhanced wireless device charging, and enhanced dynamic voice recognition.
Its driver-assist features have also been bolstered with forward collision-avoidance assist, navigation-based smart cruise control, highway driving assist, reverse parking collision-avoidance assist, and remote smart parking assist.
In terms of safety, Hyundai added a set of rear side-impact airbags to the 2023 Hyundai Palisade.
Under the hood of the 2023 Palisade is an Atkinson-cycle 3.8-liter V6, dual CVVT, direct-injected engine mated to a refined eight-speed automatic transmission with a multi-plate torque converter. This powertrain setup makes 291 horses with 355Nm of torque. The 2023 Palisade also comes with Hyundai’s HTRAC All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) system.
