Hyundai 'Fast-Forward Drive' serves up deals on Kona and more

Hyundai Philippines extends its "Fast-Forward Drive" promo to hopeful owners, giving them the chance to get the South Korean car maker’s multi-awarded subcompact crossover SUV at a low down payment of P35,640.

Outfitted with a Euro 4-compliant, 2.0-liter, four-cylinder Atkinson engine, the Hyundai Kona can put out a maximum power of 147hp and a maximum torque of 179Nm. The 2.0 Nu MPI Atkinson mill is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with manual shifting mode and overdrive lockup torque converter, allowing the Kona to offer the ideal balance between power and fuel efficiency.

The Kona is also equipped with MacPherson strut suspensions at the front and a coupled torsion beam axle at the rear.

In terms of safety, Hyundai’s five-door subcompact crossover SUV boasts a body that’s proudly 51.8% AHSS (Advanced High Strength Steel). It also comes with a standard six-airbag system, anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic stability control (ESC), tire pressure monitoring system, Isofix child seat anchors, and a convenient smart key with a push-button start system.

The Hyundai Kona also sports daytime running lights (DRL), front fog lamps, side mirror repeaters, and a rear spoiler with a high-mount stop lamp (HMSL).

Thanks to its dynamic driving capabilities and safety features, the Hyundai Kona has been recognized globally and has won titles like the 2019 North America Utility Vehicle of the Year.

From March 5 to April 15, 2021, Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), the official distributor of Hyundai passenger cars and commercial vehicles in the Philippines, offers the Reina, Grand Starex, and the Kona at #ZeroSafeguardTax prices.

Under the new tax scheme on vehicle imports, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) will impose a cash bond of P70,000 per unit of imported passenger cars and P110,000 per unit of imported light commercial vehicles.
