The Ioniq 6 is built on Hyundai's Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP).Hyundai’s four-door electric vehicle (EV) showcased some of its impressive features at the ongoing auto expo. These include its 547-kilometer (km) range, its ultra-fast charging capabilities, and its large interior space thanks to the company’s exclusive Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP).
“Ioniq 6 is well-positioned to compete in the EV segment for the millions of shoppers who are interested in transitioning to zero emissions transportation. Ioniq 6 fits the image, efficiency, and sportiness that many owners desire. Ioniq 6 and its interior space, battery options, charging speed, and all-wheel drive capability will exceed customer expectations,” said Hyundai Motor North America President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) José Muñoz.
Also highlighted was the Hyundai Ioniq 6’s Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function — a feature that attracts a growing audience globally. The Ioniq 6 EV allows its owners to freely use or charge any electric devices, such as electric bicycles, scooters, or camping equipment.
This function can even be used to charge a stranded EV.
The V2L function is enabled using an available accessory adaptor and goes into the outside charging port. In addition to the outside power outlet, the Ioniq 6 has a second outlet underneath the back-row seat for charging laptops, phones, and other devices.
In the recently-held Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit (PEVS), the Ioniq 6’s younger brother, the Ioniq 5, showcased a similar feature by recharging several smartphones using the power from its battery.
