Korean EV covered 3,197 kilometers
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 travelled to five Southeast Asian countries with only a total cost of P6,449.
Hyundai Motor Company took five Ioniq 5 electric cars recently to an ASEAN tour that spanned a total of 3,197 kilometers covering countries namely Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Singapore, and Malaysia.
Here, the Ioniq 5 revealed that traveling with an electric vehicle will be two times more cost-efficient compared to roaming around with a traditional internal combustion engine.

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 ASEAN tour was carried out in partnership with several participants from the Association of Singapore, local community influencers, and key opinion leaders from Indonesia and Thailand.
“Being part of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 ASEAN tour has exceeded all my expectations! I am convinced that electric vehicles, particularly the Ioniq 5, are the future of transportation. This transformative tour removes my anxiety on EVs capabilities, conclusively proving that EVs not only cover long distances but do so with such style, comfort and reliability,” stated Nithi Thuamprathom, an influencer from Thailand.
Meanwhile, Cambodian influencer and automotive expert Fitra Eri said: “As the first proud owner of the Ioniq 5 in Indonesia, my electric vehicle journey shattered the anxiety about city limits. This tour not only confirmed that beyond urban boundaries, we experienced zero worries and unmatched convenience during long-distance drives with the Ioniq 5 crossing borders of different countries, but it also erased anxieties about finding charging stations.”
During the ASEAN tour, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 demonstrated that it can be a trailblazing travel companion. The EV reportedly impressed all participants with its innovative features, including the groundbreaking Vehicle to Load (V2L) technology.
