Hyundai Asia Resources Inc. (HARI) and Shell Philippines has recently awarded a seafarer a Kona to the grand raffle prize winner of Shell Sulong North Luzon Promo.
In a statement, HARI said that raffle winner Oscar Dave Natividad from Sudipen, La Union won the top prize. His mother, Susan, received the unit on his behalf.
The turnover of the prize was attended by Pilipinas Shell Mobility Marketing Manager Arvin Obmerga as well as Shell North Luzon District Manager Mark Calo, Shell Balauan La Union Retailer Aureo Augusto Nisce, and Hyundai La Union Branch Manager Arnold Aquino.
The Hyundai Kona is powered by a Euro-4 compliant two-liter Atkinson gasoline engine matched to a six-speed automatic transmission.
Its safety features include Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Tire Pressure Monitoring System, six airbags and the Advanced High Strength Steel (AHSS) that is said to be 10 percent lighter but more rigid than conventional steel.
Further, this crossover (identified as the trendy, younger sibling of the Tucson) is 1,800mm wide with a 2,600mm-wheelbase that guarantees sufficient legroom inside the cabin.
“Boasting beastly performance that doesn’t compromise on comfort, smooth handling, high safety standards, and great gas mileage, the extraordinarily engineered Hyundai Kona is set to take the Natividad family on better journeys through the expansive highways and rugged off-road terrain of the great North,” the local automotive importer said.
