Hyundai Motor PH joins CAMPI
Hyundai Motor Philippines (HMPH), the Korean automotive manufacturer's latest distributor in the country, is now a member of the Chamber of Automotive Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI).

Per HMPH, the company can work in a partnership “with stakeholders of the automobile industry” in formulating government policies, programs and standards that will benefit the industry. They can now participate in the Philippine International Motor Show too.HMPH Managing Director Cecil Capacete confirmed the status of its membership during an interview.
“We were informed last Friday,” Capacete told CARMUDI PHILIPPINES when asked on the company’s official membership date.
HMPH said in a statement that by joining CAMPI, the company will be able to work in a partnership “with stakeholders of the automobile industry” by sharing their voice or opinion in terms of formulating government policies, programs and standards that will benefit the industry.
Aside from that, the newly-hailed member can participate in the Philippine International Motor Show (scheduled on September 15-18 at the World Trade Center), where it can showcase to the general public its lineup, corporate identity, as well as capabilities.
Upon joining CAMPI, HMPH said that it will be leaving the Association of Vehicle Importers and Distributors Inc (AVID) where the former local Hyundai distributor was affiliated.
“There are a lot of benefits in joining CAMPI and for us to join them at this opportune time would give us a huge boost. There is so much excitement and interest in what we will do next and we can’t wait to show everyone once again what Hyundai Motor is all about,” HMPH President Lee Dong Wook was quoted in an earlier statement.
The supposed 8th PIMS should have taken place in 2020 but the rising number of COVID-19 cases forced the organizers to cancel the biennial event that year.
Will HMPH launch the upcoming Hyundai Stargazer and Palisade at the forthcoming event? As of this point, we hope that they will.
