The upcoming offerings are expected to grace the 8th Philippine International Motor Show and the 10th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit. In an interview, HMPH Managing Director Cecil Capacete, the company will reveal the Stargazer and Ioniq 5 before the year ends.
Capacete hinted that the company will likely highlight the upcoming models at the two automotive events set to be staged in the next few months: the 8th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS), which will take place on September 15-18, and the 10th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit (PEVS) scheduled on October 20-21.
The MPV market will get more interesting once the Hyundai Stargazer reaches the local market as it will be rivalling the likes of Mitsubishi Xpander, Suzuki Ertiga and Toyota Avanza. On the other hand, the Ioniq 5 will be the company’s entry in the growing electric vehicle segment in the country.

Under HMPH, Hyundai is currently offering four models namely the all-new Creta, Staria, Tucson and the revamped Santa Fe.
As it targets to participate in the nearing 2022 PIMS, the Korean marque's new automotive arm is currently in the process of joining the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc (CAMPI) and will leave the Association of Vehicle Importers and Distributors Inc (AVID) where the former distributorship was affiliated.
“There are a lot of benefits in joining CAMPI and for us to join them at this opportune time would give us a huge boost. There is so much excitement and interest in what we will do next and we can’t wait to show everyone once again what Hyundai Motor is all about,” HMPH President Lee Dong Wook was quoted in a statement.
