With three models set to be unveiled before the year ends, Hyundai Motor Philippines (HMPH) is expected to fire its opening salvo at the 8th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) by launching the Ioniq 5.
A source confirmed to Carmudi Philippines that the latest distributor for the South Korean brand in the country will bring in the aforementioned sport utility vehicle as the brand’s first electric vehicle offering locally.
Upon its arrival, the battery-powered Hyundai Ioniq 5 expands the current HMPH lineup to five, joining its internal combustion-propelled brethren namely the all-new Creta, Staria, Tucson and the revamped Santa Fe.
However, the source did not mention whether Palisade and Stargazer — the two models that HMPH Managing Director Cecil Capacete said will be brought to the country soon — will also be shown to the public during the four-day event.
