Hyundai Motor PH launches hybrid Santa Fe, Tucson
Hyundai Motor Philippines Incorporated (HMPH) has recently launched the hybrid versions of the Santa Fe sport utility vehicle and Tucson crossover in the country.

The Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid and Tucson Hybrid are priced at P3.330 million and P2.290 million, respectively.The two new-energy vehicles were unleashed at the Hyundai Mobility Experience event in Alabang.

Under the hood of the Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid is the 1.6-liter turbocharged hybrid electric vehicle engine that puts out some 231 horsepower with 367 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque. The hybrid powertrain also comes with e-Dynamic Drive that allows electric-powered handling, traction, evasive handling assist, and dynamic torque vectoring control.
The Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid has a smart regenerative braking system, which allows the SUV to recover some level of energy during deceleration based on driving conditions to provide fuel-efficient driving.
Notable features of the Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid include first-row relaxation seats, second-row captains’ chairs, a 12.3-inch panoramic curved infotainment display, dual wireless smartphone charging, a UV-C sterilization tray, and a bi-directional storage console.
Likewise, the Hyundai Tucson Hybrid gets a 1.6-liter turbocharged hybrid electric vehicle mill. On that note, it is similarly capable of dishing out approximately 231 horses with 367 Nm of pulling power.
It also has the same e-Dynamic Driving system and smart regenerative braking for optimal fuel efficiency.
Aside from the traditional driving modes like eco, smart, and sport, the Hyundai Tucson Hybrid comes with “Baby mode,” which activates optimal acceleration that enhances comfort for the young ones on board.
Inside, the Hyundai Tucson Hybrid boasts a 12.3-inch panoramic curved infotainment display with Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Also notable are its improved storage space and organization thanks to the floating-type console box.
