Hyundai Pledges Award-Winning Maintenance for Donated PNP Fleet
The images of dilapidated mobile patrol units of the Philippine National Police (PNP) may soon be a thing of the past as Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), the authorized distributor of Hyundai vehicles in the Philippines, has pledged Hyundai's award-winning Service package to maintain its new patrol vehicles.
HARI has delivered outstanding Service performance in the entire Hyundai Asia-Pacific distributorship network, having bagged top honors for Customer Satisfaction in After-Sales Service in 2018. In 2017, the JD Power Philippines Customer Service Index (CSI) saw HARI climb up from seventh place in 2016 to second among 11 top brands.
"It is always a challenge to live up to our customer promise, but most especially now that we are the PNP’s new partner in public service," stated HARI President and CEO Maria Fe Perez-Agudo. "Our goal is to bolster the capacity of our police authorities, so that they can effectively carry out their mission to maintain peace and order while enjoying a safe and comfortable ride."
The comprehensive Hyundai Service package covers initial inspection at the port of delivery and stringent inspection at the Hyundai Logistics Center (HLC) to ensure that the vehicles were turned over in excellent condition; driver training and briefing on the features of the vehicles at Camp Crame; Hyundai's Five-Year Unlimited Warranty; special access to HARI's 42-strong nationwide dealership network; and preferential Preventive Maintenance Service (PMS) rates on parts and labor.
The Philippine National Police recently took delivery of 49 Hyundai Elantras and 81 Hyundai Starex units from Hyundai Motor Company (HMC), in partnership with the Korean National Police Agency (KNPA) and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). Beyond delivering the vehicles, Hyundai also equipped the vehicles with LED search and warning lights, safety screens, dashboard cameras, mobile radio casings, rear safety films, and multi-function signal bars.
According to HARI, the 130-unit vehicle donation is by far the biggest and most significant that HMC has undertaken in the country in terms of volume.
"The turnover of a fleet of our best-selling Elantra and Grand Starex units signifies the strengthening of public-private collaboration to ensure an environment that is safe and conducive to business," Perez-Agudo added. "The work that the PNP does in maintaining peace and order is an essential component of growth and development."
