Hyundai retains top spot in industry customer loyalty for US
Hyundai has once again earned the number-one spot in the United States when it comes to customer loyalty in the automotive industry, based on Brand Keys Customer Loyalty Engagement Index (CLEI).

Per Hyundai, other companies were ranked first in their industries include Corona Extra, Disney+, Aquafina, Levi Strauss, and Lego.To note, Hyundai has remained in the same position for the 14th consecutive time.
The United States arm of Hyundai is also in the top 20 among all brands and has finished inside the top 20 every year since 2017, based on the Brand Keys Brand Loyalty Leaders survey.
For those who do not know, Brand Keys is a brand research consultancy that specializes in predictive brand equity, consumer loyalty, and engagement metrics. According to Brand Keys, its measurement methodology correlates very highly with sales and profitability, making it an accurate means of predicting sales and future in-market behavior.
“Because expectations are more emotionally-based today, brands have a difficult time identifying and tracking them. But there are ‘hero’ brands that pretty much ‘own’ the number one spot in their categories long enough to earn a ‘perennial loyalty’ designation. Hyundai is one of those brands,” said Brand Keys Founder and President Robert Passikoff.
In 2023, Hyundai is the only automotive company awarded a spot in the Top 20. It sits alongside brands such as Corona Extra, Disney+, Aquafina, Levi Strauss, and Lego.
