Hyundai announced recently that it is expanding the Santa Fe lineup in the US by adding an XRT trim.
The new and rugged variant of the Santa Fe adds a slew of robust and beefy exterior accessories to the South Korean automaker’s midsize crossover SUV. Included are front and rear black lower bumper fascia molding, dark silver front and rear skid plates, a matte-black grille, black mirror covers, and black roof side rails and cross rails.
Hyundai also adds trim exclusive accessories such as XRT-exclusive black door side moldings, XRT-exclusive side steps, and XRT-exclusive 18-inch dark alloy wheels.
The Santa Fe XRT trim builds upon the Santa Fe SEL with a Convenience package and is available on FWD and AWD models. Prices for both models are US$32,300 and US$34,000 respectively.
According to Hyundai, the Santa Fe XRT FWD and Santa Fe XRT AWD are already being rolled out in US dealerships.
It would be cool to see Hyundai through Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI) bring in an XRT trim in the country.
That said, the Santa Fe we have in the Philippines is currently offered in two variants: the Santa Fe 2.2 CRDi GLS AT and the Santa Fe 2.2 CRDi GLS (Mid Variant) AT. The locally available SUVs are priced at P2,538,000 and P2,158,000, respectively.
