The Nissan X-Trail is one of the Japanese carmaker’s entries into the local compact crossover SUV segment.
Outside, it features Nissan's new V-motion grille with a set of headlamps that come in either parabolic halogen or projector LEDs, depending on the variant. Likewise, it can also ride on either 17- or 19-inch wheels. At the rear are a set of combination taillights and a spoiler with integrated brake lamps.
Inside, the X-Trail reflects its refreshed exterior with new toys for both small and big boys. Interested to find out what they are? Join us as we check out what’s inside the Nissan X-Trail.
The 4x4 version of the Nissan X-Trail comes with an interior lined with luxurious leather. You’ll find them on the D-shaped steering wheel, the shift knob, the center console, as well as on all the seats.
Now the Nissan X-Trail is still an off-road capable vehicle for sure, but the addition of leather elements in the cabin makes the ride comfortable no matter the terrain.
Nissan has earned a reputation in the Philippine automotive scene for having good A/C. That said, those planning to drive this SUV under the hot metropolitan sun will not be disappointed.
The Nissan X-Trail features a dual-zone automatic air conditioning system on both the 4x2 and 4x4 variants. This keeps the driver and the passengers cool in both long and short drives.
On the other hand, those planning to take the Nissan X-Trail up the country’s summer capital can better enjoy the cool and beautiful Baguio climate through its panoramic sunroof.
And while we love the majority of the locally offered Nissan X-Trail’s interior amenities, we think that the infotainment system could use an update.
While the five-inch QVGA touchscreen infotainment unit features a tuner, CD, MP3, audio streaming, call functions, Bluetooth, and iPod connectivity, Aux, and USB, we believe most drivers would appreciate having some of today’s modern infotainment perks like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and voice-activated features.
The Nissan X-Trail is currently offered in two variants: the 2.0-liter 4x2 model and the 2.5-liter 4x4. They are priced at P1,534,000 and P1,820,000, respectively.
Those in the market for a more affordable alternative can check out our selection of used Nissan X-Trail models here.
