After publishing the story about the latest version of the Nissan Almera to possibly hit Philippine roads soon, someone provided some photos of what could be the upcoming model.
As shared to Carmudi Philippines, the subcompact sedan seems to wear a familiar shape—similar to the Almera that is already present in neighboring Thailand and Malaysia. However, it is still difficult to fully identify the unit as the whole body was covered in gray sticker.
What gave it away that boosted our claim on the possible coming of the Almera is the overall rear and tail lamp design.
“The conduction sticker was for Nissan (plus), it’s a sedan,” the contributor of the photo explained.
Based on a tip, the latest version of the Nissan Almera will be officially introduced next, around a month after the Nissan Terra was launched in the Philippine market.
In 2019, Carmudi Philippines reported that the local distributor is “already in the planning stage” of bringing the newest edition of the Almera and might take more than a year before being released here.
In the country, the Almera nameplate has already sold 20,542 units as of October 2019. Prior to the arrival of the new version, the Almera model was produced locally.
Its competitors in the market include the Toyota Vios, Honda City, Hyundai Accent.
