Isuzu maintains lead in PH truck sales

The company sold 4,838 trucks last year.Based on the joint report of the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Incorporated and the Truck Manufacturers Association Incorporated, Isuzu Philippines showed 4,838-unit retail performance last year and cornering 43-percent share of the local truck market.
In addition, the IPC’s sales last year made it clinch the number one position in the local truck segment anew — holding on to the position for 24 years straight.
For the full 12 months of 2023, IPC has sold 3,034 light-duty trucks; 1,407 medium-duty trucks; and 397 heavy-duty trucks. Such output, IPC shared in a statement, showcased its “dominance in the truck segment” and highlighted its range of business solutions to fit the needs of the market.
“IPC's success is built on the foundation of its renowned durability and reliability, with each vehicle engineered to withstand the demands of various business operations. The company’s commitment to quality has earned the trust of thousands of business owners nationwide, who rely on IPC for their commercial vehicle needs,” the company noted.
Aside from its products, IPC also attributed its strong retail to its strong nationwide dealer network and aftersales service support.
According to IPC, its customers are supported with services such as free driver and mechanic training, access to mobile medic services, and the expertise of Japanese engineers to enhance ownership experience.
"Maintaining our leadership position in the truck segment for 24 consecutive years is a testament to our dedication to delivering not just quality commercial vehicles, but also comprehensive business solutions," IPC President Tetsuya Fujita was quoted as saying.
"Our customers' satisfaction and trust are at the core of what we do, together with our dealer network we are committed to continuing our tradition of excellence in the years to come,” he added.
Meanwhile, IPC also announced its plan to sustain its position as the leading truck manufacturer in the country by reaffirming its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and customer service.
