Isuzu PH bags numerous awards at 2022 I-1 Grand Prix
Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) has won several accolades at the recently-concluded 17th Isuzu World Technical Competition.

In the CV division, IsuzuPasig’s Arjay Ang-Angan and Isuzu Alabang’s Vicente Collantes had the secondand fourth place respectively. On the other hand, Isuzu Alabang’s Reynaldo Gepulle won thirdplace and Isuzu Pagbilao’s Edcel Saluday was at fourth place in the LCV category.The Japanese truck manufacturer’s local arm shared that it won second place in commercial vehicles (CV) division and third place in light commercial vehicles (LCV) category at the annual event also known as the “I-1 Grand Prix” (I-1 GP).
“With the collective efforts and hard work of both IPC Aftersales team and Isuzu Dealers, Isuzu Philippines was able to be part of the Top 5 of both divisions for 10 years, bringing home two championship titles way back in 2015 and 2018,” IPC said in a statement.
Apart from securing the aforementioned honors for the two teams fielded in the competition, participants from Team Isuzu Philippines also received awards in the individual category.
In the CV individual category, Isuzu Pasig’s Arjay Ang-Angan and Isuzu Alabang’s Vicente Collantes had the second and fourth place, respectively — with Gian Franco Cosico from IPC Training Department acting as head coach.
Under LCV division’s individual contest, Isuzu Alabang’s Reynaldo Gepulle won third place while Isuzu Pagbilao’s Edcel Saluday got the fourth place — with Carl Edson Lat from IPC Training Department serving as the group's head coach.

A total of 49 countries and 61 teams participated in the 2022 I-1 GP E-Competition, including Asian countries such as Japan, China, Thailand, etc. and other countries from different continents in the world. Although done virtually, the participants were strictly monitored by IML representatives while conducting their exams in their respective headquarters.
During the same event, the IPC also received its fourth straight Triple Star award, the highest rating granted to Isuzu distributors who have met the aftersales service standards set by IML.
Apart from the aforementioned set of recognitions, Team Isuzu Philippines also received recognition in I-CLIPS, the new feature of the e-competition that started last year wherein users can show support by liking videos and images posted by the participating distributor country based on the theme of the competition.
