To note, the IPC-JZGMSAT connection began in 2017. Through the collaboration, the Japanese automotive firm’s local arm was able to donate desktop computers, mock-up diesel engines and two units of automotive lifters that are still being utilized by the school’s service mechanic trainees during their practical classes up to this day.
Similar to the Auto Mechanic school in Tacloban, IPC also included in the MOA specialized training program covering topics like Diesel Engine Technology, Common Rail Fuel System and Engine Management System as part of the company’s knowledge-sharing initiatives.
“We are very thankful to Isuzu Philippines for their continuous support to our vocational school. The equipment and technical training that they provide to us are all very beneficial in improving the competency of our trainees. This will truly help them in their practical classes and prepare them for real world scenarios,” Reyes was quoted as saying.
In a press statement, IPC noted that the latest corporate social responsibility initiative — out of all the similar programs made over the years around the country — is close to their heart. “We truly believe in the power of education, this is something we can give to the younger generation and hope that it will be able to change their lives in the future,” Fujita added.
Through programs like the aforementioned, future mechanics that has undergone proper training would be better equipped with the right set of knowledge to attend to the needs of their would-be customers.
