Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) recently turned over its first set of modern public utility vehicles in Oriental Mindoro.
Together with Isuzu Calapan dealership, the Japanese vehicle manufacturer’s local arm handed over the units to the representatives of Victoria Operators Drivers and Commuters Transport Cooperative (VODACTCO).
Receiving the initial 15 of the 28 procured Isuzu NLR modern PUV units from IPC President Noburo Murakami and Department Head for commercial sales Mario Ojales are VODACTCO officers and members headed by General Manager Gaudencio Callo and Vice Chairperson James Valdez.
The aforementioned number of units that were delivered to the group are expected to ply the roads of Calapan City up to Victoria, Oriental Mindoro.
“We are happy and proud to be part of your progress and development in terms of transportation. Being the number one truck brand in the Philippines for 22 consecutive years, Isuzu’s goal has always been about providing transport solutions to people,” Murakami was quoted as saying.
The IPC chief expressed firm belief that the turnover of the examples serve as another testament that the brand “continuously contributes to the uplifting of quality of life of people by providing mobility solutions.”
For his part, VODACTCO General Manager Gaudencio Callo said the organization chose Isuzu NLR PUV due to its fuel-efficiency and comprehensive after-sales support.
“To comply with the PUV modernization program of LTFRB, we made sure that the replacement of our old traditional jeepneys are durable and fuel-efficient vehicles because this is a big investment for our cooperative members,” he explained.
In addition to the quality of Isuzu products and aftersales, Callo is also thankful and satisfied with the excellent customer service that Isuzu Calapan — which was only established in 2019 — had shown the cooperative all throughout the process.
Despite being new, Isuzu Calapan already won third place in the 2021 Dealer of the Year Awards organized by IPC and placed Grand Champion in the 2022 Isuzu Service Skills Olympics.
To note, Isuzu Calapan, managed by Mina de Oro Motors Incorporated, is the first dealership in the country that wore the brand’s new corporate identity. The said dealership is situated at Km. 9 Nautical Highway, Puting Tubig, Calapan, Oriental Mindoro.
