A new batch of Isuzu Traviz units were turned over to the second district of Oriental Mindoro to be used as rescue vehicles in the area.
Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) delivered the 16 Traviz rescue vehicles last July 27. Oriental Mindoro Second District Representative Alfonso Umali Jr. Board Member Jean Paulo Umali, and Mayors Aristeo Baldos (Pinamalayan) and Ferdinand Maliwanag (Mansalay) received the units.
IPC President Tetsuya Fujita expressed the company’s appreciation the local government unit (LGU) for its continued trust on Isuzu vehicles. “It is our honor to be part of this program to assist in helping our kababayans here in Mindoro especially during this rainy season, when there are a lot of Typhoons and disaster,” Fujita said.
IPC shared that prior to the latest turnover, it has already handed over similar orders to the LGU — now being utilized in the various barangays in the region. Per IPC, the latest fleet will be a part of the LGU’s ongoing campaign on modernizing and strengthening rescue efforts and will be distributed to 136 barangays in the aforementioned district.
For his part, Umali also shared their district continues to choose Isuzu vehicles because of its “reliability and toughness.”
Relatedly, IPC reiterated that its Isuzu Advantage provides excellent aftersales service to its customers around the country — guaranteed with its strong dealer network and nationwide parts availability. Additionally, the firm also offers free safety and eco-drive training, on-site servicing through Isuzu Mobile Medic and fleet servicing and assessment conducted by its expert service technicians and Japanese truck engineers.
The model immediately gained popularity locally as workhorse since it was introduced to the country in November 2019 and breaching the 10,000-unit sales milestone in the Philippines in mid-2022.
