The company is eyeing to sell around 18,000 units in 2023.
  • How many units did IPC sell in the first quarter of 2023?

IPC had already handed over 4,092 units sold for the first three months of the year.
  • The aforementioned goal that IPC President Tetsuya Fujita bared during an interview at the opening day of the “Isuzu Summer Music Festival” was only a few hundreds above the sales achievement that the Japanese automaker's local arm had in 2022.

To note, the interview was done after the company introduced the spruced-up version of the new Isuzu D-Max.

Per the IPC helm, the company is targeting to sell around 10,000 examples of both the D-Max and the mu-X (5,000 units each) followed by the 6,000-unit goal for the Traviz. The remainder of the aforementioned target is expected to come from the light-, medium-, and heavy-duty trucks in its lineup.

Based on the latest consolidated report from the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) and Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA), IPC had already handed over 4,092 units sold to clients for the first three months of the year.

The sales volume reflected an almost two-percent increase compared to the 4,014 vehicles delivered to customers in the same period in 2022. It also earned the seventh spot in the CAMPI-TMA tally.

Out of the 4,092-unit retail output, 1,145 units came from the truck and bus segment (753 light-duty, 325 medium-duty, and 67 heavy-duty trucks) — making IPC the leading distributor of trucks in the country for the initial quarter of 2023.

For the whole 2022, IPC was able to sell 17,639 vehicles. Of that sales performance, 4,680 came from the truck and bus segment.
