In a statement, the company said that dealer aftersales representatives were assessed remotely based on three categories: Parts Staff, Service Advisor, and Service Technician.
IPC President Noburo Murakami said that the event was to showcase its local after sales representatives' “exceptional skills and knowledge.”
“Isuzu Philippines takes pride in the Filipino talent as we continue to receive Isuzu Motors Limited’s Triple Star Award for Distributor and Dealer Aftersales-- their dedication and resilience even in the current situation is truly commendable. Every year, this competition highlights that the quality of service our dealer network provides to our customers nationwide is at par with the global standards,” the newly-hailed IPC president noted.
After the four-day event, Isuzu Calapan — the brand’s lone dealership in MIMAROPA (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan) region — won the 2022 ISSO Grand Championship award, besting 26 others who joined the competition.
Isuzu Calapan President Daniel Uy was happy over the recognition received. “Our dealership is constantly trying to improve our skills with the help and assistance of IPC, so that we can continue to provide excellent after sales service to our customers in the region,” he added.
IPC explained that participants under the Parts Staff category were tested on their understanding and correct identification of Isuzu parts products using a web-based parts search system. The winners for the aforementioned division are Alkaid Dellomes (champion, Isuzu Pangasinan), Jayson Gadon (first runner up, Isuzu Calapan), and John Kenneth Basierto (Isuzu Makati, second runner up).
Meanwhile, those who competed in the Service Advisor class were judged for their interpretation and understanding of the Isuzu Health Report data as well as the ongoing aftersales programs and initiatives. The top three in the group are Ronio de Roxas (champion, Isuzu, Calapan), Lidden Pating (first runner up, Isuzu Pampanga), and Jonel Barrientos (second runner up, Isuzu Iloilo).
Further, contestants in the Service Technician category were evaluated on their technical skills, which include accurate and effective inspection as well as diagnosis for vehicle troubleshooting and servicing. Isuzu Alabang’s Vicente Collantes and Reynaldo Gepulle topped the said class, followed by Jefferson Fajardo and Jodel Amistoso of Isuzu Cabanatuan, and Arjay Ang-angan and Helbert Ruiz of Isuzu Pasig.
According to the Japanese marque’s local arm, the service technician category winners will automatically have the chance to represent IPC at the I-1 Grand Prix Isuzu World Technical Competition, which will be in November.
