Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) has revealed the refreshed iteration of the D-Max pick-up truck.
The reveal was done at the Alabang Town Center last April 21 during the opening of the “Isuzu Summer Music Festival” —coinciding with the local public debut of its sport utility vehicle brethren, the Mu-X.
Now having a sportier aesthetics, the new Isuzu D-Max comes with a new two-tone front grille that complements the new matte dark gray 18-inch alloy wheels, as well as its new body color Islay Gray.
It can be recalled that the D-Max (now imported from Thailand) shares the platform with the Mazda BT-50.
On the other hand, the spruced-up Mu-X (introduced last March) also gets a two-tone front grille but sits on bigger 20-inch alloy wheels. The aforementioned offering is offered in LS-E variations.
Both models are powered by the potent 4JJ3-TCX Blue Power technology diesel engine that optimizes performance with fuel efficiency.
Both models received a five-star rating from the New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asian Countries (ASEAN NCAP). To note, the two nameplates feature active and passive safety features, and advanced driver assist system (ADAS) with Smart Duo Cam with blind Spot monitoring, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, turn assist, and adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality, among others.
“As your responsible partner in providing durable and reliable vehicles, we are elevating your driving experience with safer, more efficient, and more comfortable drive – a drive that will suit the needs of all members of the family,” IPC President Tetsuya Fujita said.
