JAC distributorship in PH now under Astara

Astara is the new distributor of JAC (Jianghuai Automobile Group Company) vehicles in the country.

Astara Philippines noted the significance of the newly-inked partnership between the two companies, saying that it is the first cooperation for them globally.

Now with JAC included in its lineup, Astara Philippines juggles a total of four automotive brands, the other three being Peugeot, GAC (Guangzhou Automobile Group Motor Company), and JMC (Jiangling Motors Corporation).

“This agreement brings JAC’s wide range of SUVs and pick-up models to the fast-growing market, meeting the evolving needs of the Filipino consumers and commercial customers,” the company explained, adding that the brand will launch electrified models (in plug-in hybrid or purely electric options) — with the aim of establishing itself as the market’s benchmark.

For his part, JAC Motors Vice President David Zhang shared that the Philippines is of extraordinary strategic and practical significance.

“In the future, JAC will strictly adhere to the ‘user-centric’ business philosophy and bolster the relationship with Astara to provide better products and better service experience for Filipino users,” he added.
