JAC PH launches all-new JS8 Pro

Months after being previewed at the Manila International 2024 last April, JAC (Jianghuai Automobile Group Company) Philippines formally launched the all-new JS8 Pro.

In a statement, the Astara Philippines-managed vehicle distributor claimed that the newest sport utility vehicle (SUV) represents the brand’s “very best” and offers “space and performance that Filipinos would love.”

The vehicle boasts a tall stance with its 160-millimeter ground clearance, 19-degree approach and 18-degree departure angle. Such features complement the front fascia’s bold look, upward-sloping window line, black fender trim, and the two-tone 19-inch alloy wheels.

Meanwhile, the all-new JAC JS8 Pro’s electronic tailgate provides access to the vehicle’s 418-liter cargo space.

The newly-launched vehicle’s cabin boasts an electronic panoramic sunroof, black leather appointments, electronically-adjustable front seats, a wireless charging dock, and independent front and rear climate controls.

It also comes with two 12.3-inch digital screens — one is the gauge cluster and the other, a floating, central touchscreen console that is Apple CarPlay and Android Auto-compatible with access to the 360-degree panoramic camera view.

Under the SUV’s hood is a 1.5-liter, direct-inject, inline-four, turbo gasoline mill (which has a maximum delivery of 182 horsepower and 300 Newton-meters of torque) mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Among its advanced driver assistance systems are the blind spot detection, lane change assist and door opening warning.

Priced at P1.35 million, the all-new JAC JS8 Pro is packaged with a five-year warranty. It can also be had under monthly amortization terms as low as P14,245.

The Chinese automaker’s local arm seems to be aggressively expanding its SUV lineup as it was just early this month the launched the JS6 in the country.
