Jaguar Land Rover erects ‘Statement Site’ in South West London

Jaguar Land Rover announced the opening of its first ‘Statement Site’ in the UK, located in South West London. The five-story state-of-the-art facility, represents the blossoming relationship between the British marque and Guy Salmon, a popular eco-minded businessman.

The new facility replaces the 70-year-old ‘Jaguar Land Rover Thames Ditton,’ which Salmon bought back in 1998 using his company, the Sytner Group. Taking two years to complete, the new site spreads over a sizeable 17,000sqm lot, boasting over 400 parking spaces.

Before the renovation, the Jaguar Land Rover dealership employed just 145 people, but the construction and opening of its new premises “has created many more job opportunities in the area,” according to the carmaker.

The new onsite showroom houses Jaguar Land Rover’s complete portfolio of vehicles, products and services. With its 130-vehicle capacity, the showroom displays new and used Jaguars and Land Rovers, including classic models, as well as an exclusive Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) center where buyers can choose bespoke options for their vehicle.

Customer experience is elevated with the placement of various family lounges, quiet zones and cafés with WiFi all throughout.

 

The centerpiece of the modernized property is a ‘living wall’ filled with greenery that stands at 60sqms. More than a soothing and relaxing sight, the wall serves as a reminder of Jaguar Land Rover’s commitment to its ‘Destination Zero’ mission to make the environment cleaner through “relentless pursuit of sustainable innovations.”

Aside from the green wall, the building’s other ultra-efficient and environment-focused features include advanced energy-saving insulation, wastewater recycling and extensive EV charging points.

Beyond sales, the Guy Salmon South West London is also home to world-class workshops for car repair and body & paint work. State-of-the-art technology, such as the fully automated four-wheel alignment system and prestigious Service reception, add even greater levels of quality and care. Located on the second floor is a body shop, 26 ramps, two dedicated Ministry of Transport (MOT) test lanes and a cosmetic repair area.

The new Statement Site is located along near well-known British landmarks such as Hampton Court Palace and Twickenham Stadium. It’s also a few clicks away from London Heathrow Airport. It is the second site of its kind globally, after the one opened in Munich, Germany in July.
