Jaguar has revealed its first limited-edition high-performance SUV created by the personalization experts at SV Bespoke — the F-Pace SVR Edition 1988. According to the Convetry-based luxury carmaker, only 394 examples of the said SUV will be made.
“Since its introduction in 2019, the Jaguar F-Pace SVR has established itself as a highly characterful and rewarding high-performance car. Pairing these qualities with a level of SV Bespoke personalization and exclusivity never offered before on F-Pace makes Edition 1988 an even more captivating proposition. With strictly limited availability, we’re confident this will quickly become the most sought-after F-Pace SVR yet,” said Jaguar Special Vehicle Operations Commercial Director Mark Turner.
One of the unique exterior features of the F-Pace SVR Edition 1988 is its specially formulated Midnight Amethyst Gloss paintwork, a new color that will only be offered to Jaguar F-PACE SVR Edition 1988 customers.
Enhancing the F-Pace SVR Edition 1988’s exclusive color are gloss black door mirror caps, brake calipers, wheel center caps, and the letter R on the SVR badging.
The dark exterior theme blends well with the Champagne Gold Satin 22-inch forged alloy wheels as well as the Sunset Gold Satin exterior trims.
“The design of the F-Pace SVR Edition 1988 is inspired by legendary Jaguar endurance racing cars. The Midnight Amethyst Gloss paintwork appears black until its amethyst undertones are revealed in bright sunshine, emphasizing the SVR’s dynamic exterior. To achieve this dramatic Ultra Metallic Gloss finish, we assessed more than 40 variations to create the desired depth of color,” said Jaguar Special Vehicle Operations Creative Director Richard Wooley.
Inside, the F-Pace SVR Edition 1988 gets a luxurious interior with open-pore carbon fiber finishers, semi-aniline Ebony leather upholstery, and exclusive Sunset Gold Satin detailing which are found on the vehicle’s dashboard, steering wheel spokes, gear shift paddles, and the heated-and-cooled front Performance Seats.
Extending the F-Pace SVR Edition 1988’s opulent motif are subtle SV Bespoke and Edition 1988 branding on the illuminated treadplates and dashboard as well as the Satin Black Jaguar leaper and horn ring on the steering wheel.
Other notable interior amenities include a sliding panoramic roof, a head-up display, a wireless charging docs, and the Pivi Pro infotainment system with what3words navigation, and Amazon Alexa.
Under the hood, the Jaguar F-Pace SVR Edition 1988 packs a 5.0-liter engine
Jaguar said that the F-Pace SVR Edition 1988 will be presented alongside the 1988 Le Mans-winning XJR-9 on Special Vehicle Operations’ display at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, from June 8 to 12. After which, it will make its dynamic debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed from June 23 to 26.
