Japan-market Mazda6 to be discontinued

According to Mazda, the CX series wagons will take the place of the Mazda6.According to the carmaker, the said model will be replaced by the CX series wagon once discontinued.
“Successive Atenzas and Mazda6s have been loved by many customers for a long time, with a cumulative total of 226,437 units sold in Japan. The CX series of wagons will take over this role, and we will continue to deliver a lively experience to our customers through driving pleasure that is in tune with the times,” Mazda Executive Officer in Charge of Domestic Sales Kazuyoshi Todo explained in a press release.
Production of the Mazda6 will only be up until April 2024.
In the Philippines, Mazda is offering its CX lineup in the form of the CX-30, CX-60, and CX-90, to name a few.
