Jeep shares photos of first BEV model

Stellantis-owned automotive brand Jeep has revealed the initial photos of its first battery-powered electric sport utility vehicle that will be officially introduced next year.

The vehicle, which is still unnamed as of the moment, was revealed during the Stellantis' Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan presentation. Stellantis Chief Executive Officer Carlos Tavares presented the vehicle there.

The purely battery-powered electric vehicle from Jeep is in line with the brand’s global efforts toward the full electrification of its SUV portfolio.

“This new fully electric Jeep vehicle will be launched early next year, expanding the brand reach and taking the next step to the achievement of Jeep brand’s vision of Zero Emission Freedom,” the company shared in a statement.

In the current roster globally, Jeep models that are within the electrified mobility sphere are the hybrid versions of the  Wrangler (Wrangler 4xe), Grand Cherokee, Renegade, and Compass.

Further, Jeep said that it will be sharing more information in the coming months.
