American automotive brand Jeep has announced recently that both the 2021 Jeep Wrangler and 2021 Jeep Gladiator models will be made available in Gecko paint in the US.
Gecko offers a vivid and eye-catching finish to the iconic off-road vehicle. It boasts a striking green hue making the Wrangler and Gladiator Jeeps highly visible on the trail and aesthetically unique on the road.
The Gecko paint will be part of Jeep’s 2021 special-run colors including Nacho and Chief Blue.
“Customization is at the core of both Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Gladiator, and new colors and equipment allow the customer customization journey to begin at the factory,” said Jeep North America VP Jim Morrison.
“Bold colors like Gecko Green give our customers the chance to stand out on the trails, while the tough Gorilla Glass windshield will help them bring their Jeep home unscathed,” he adds.
Jeep will also be offering Gorilla Glass windshield performance parts to the aforementioned Wrangler and Gladiator models. The factory-installed windshields use the same chemical-strengthening technology as smartphone screens, said the automaker.
The Gorilla Glass windshield is lightweight, durable, and up to three times more resistant to chips, cracks, and fractures from stones and off-road debris.
Gecko paint is now available in the US for a limited time on all Gladiator and Wrangler models and is priced at US$245.
Meanwhile, the Jeep Performance Parts (JPP) Gorilla Glass windshield is priced at US$95.
