Jetour Auto Philippines Incorporated (JAPI) has officially renamed the Dashing’s electrified offering to highlight technology.
Now called Jetour Dashing Lightning i-DM, the said offering is the same model as the Dashing PHEV (plug-in hybrid) that was publicly revealed at this year’s Manila International Auto Show. Back then, the said model was said to be retail in limited quantities — with only 10 units to sell.
As the name suggests, the Jetour Dashing Lightning i-DM is powered by a 1.5-liter turbo gasoline mill with an electric motor. Combined, the vehicle can cover around 1,000 kilometers (km). Its 19.27-kilowatt hour lithium-ion battery system gives the vehicle a 100 km emissions-free range.
To boost the model further in the market, JAPI tapped multimedia star and entrepreneur Camille Prats-Yambao to be its product ambassadress for the newly-renamed model.
As part of the commitment, the Filipino artist received her own Jetour Dashing Lightning i-DM.
Leading the contract signing ceremonies were JAPI Managing Director Miguelito Jose and Marketing Director Cherry May De Los Santos.
During the signing ceremonies, the Filipino artist shared that the model she received was her first personal vehicle.
“Having my first personal car is a big milestone for me,” Camille shares. “As a mom, I’ve always prioritized my family’s needs, and it’s about time I have a car that I can drive myself. The Jetour Dashing Lightning i-DM isn’t just beautiful; it’s practical. I’m very excited to save money on gasoline, which is perfect for a mom like me who’s always on the go and values practicality,” she noted.
Meanwhile, JAPI claimed that the artist “aligns perfectly with the Jetour brand’s core values of innovation, sustainability, and driving beyond limitations.”
