Jetour Auto Philippines has handed over two Ice Cream electric vehicles (EV) to the raffle winners of the recently held APT Cup.
A simple turnover ceremony was staged by the local arm of the Chinese new-energy vehicle brand at its new dealership in Alabang. Receiving their prizes on December 2, 2023 were Dr. Rolly Cinco and Atty. Steve Pastor.
The two Ice Cream EVs were originally intended to be given to participants who will score a hole-in-one during the friendly tournament among close comrades and colleagues of game’s sponsor, former Department of Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade.
However, the event organizers promised to give out the car as a prize to all participants if no one could win the car at the greens.
And because no one could get a hole-in-one, the EVs were raffled off among the tourney’s players.
“The Jetour Ice Cream EV has created awareness in helping address the issue of climate change by reducing carbon footprints through electric vehicles,” stated Tugade.
“Not only does it offer a comfortable ride but it also is light on the pocket,” he added.
In the Philippines, the Jetour Ice Cream EV is fitted with a permanent magnet synchronous motor paired with a fixed gear ratio gearbox. Energy is drawn from a 13.9-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery that allows the electric powertrain setup to put out as much as 27 horses with 85 Newton-meters of pulling power.
The Jetour Ice Cream EV offers an estimated range of 120-170 kilometers.
Other commendable features found in the compact electric car include LED lighting, a multifunctional steering wheel, a color LCD instrument panel, a floating infotainment system, and a reverse camera.
Jetour gave the Ice Cream EV an affordable sticker price of P699,000.
