JMS 2023: event enjoys over 1-M foot traffic
More than one million eventgoers went to the recently-concluded Japan Mobility Show (JMS) 2023, the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association announced.

Themed “Discover a future you can’t wait to navigate”, the event brought together 475 companies and organizations that represented various industries — which include Isuzu, Honda, Toyota, Mitsubishi, and Nissan.
In a statement, JAMA also shared that the Tokyo Future Tour had approximately half a million visitors while the Business Matching Events program yielded to more than 430 business negotiations.
Over 42,000 viewers were welcomed at the Japan Future Session and the Out of KidZania in Japan Mobility Show 2023 that featured job role-playing for children had 13,000 visitors.
In a statement, JAMA — headed by its chairman Akio Toyoda of Toyota — expressed its gratitude to the show’s visitors and exhibitors “who helped make the JMS for the year a success."
According to the group, the automobile and auto-related industries employ a total of 5.5 million people while 8.5 million people are engaged in mobility-related work.
“We believe that mobility in the future will become more than just transportation and evolve into innovations that move people both physically and emotionally. Our aim is to partner across industries to create the future of mobility, optimizing our strengths by coming together to drive Japan forward,” JAMA said in a press release.
