Kawasaki Breaks Cover on Supercharged Z H2 at Tokyo Motor Show
The new flagship of Kawasaki’s Z line bares its bones at the 46th Tokyo Motor Show this week. With 197 hp and 137 Nm coming from its 998 cc supercharged liquid-cooled four-cylinder engine, the H2 is undeniably a Z in every way. Weighing in at 239 kgs, the new bike undeniably possesses aesthetics that seem lifted from the Ninja H2.
The bike has no body work to speak of, so the standout green framework makes for a style-enhancing element. Likewise, the sharply contoured LED headlights and minimal aerodynamics won't provide any substantial wind protection, but speed isn't exactly what naked bikes are made for, and so the Z H2 should appeal to riders looking for a versatile multi-purpose street ride.

The bike's advanced features include an inertial measurement unit (IMU) that allows for more accurate chassis orientating awareness, a hydraulic assist and slipper clutch for light lever operation, and the Kawasaki Quick Shifter that enables speedy and seamless downshifts and upshifts.
The bike also has traction control, cruise control, wheelie and launch control, and four integrated riding modes as well as three power modes that allow a rider to control the output to send either 50 percent, 75 percent, or 100 percent of power. It even has Bluetooth connectivity via the Rideology app. Trip data and information appears on a new TFT display behind the small windscreen.

Showa suspension parts, along with an adjustable SFF-BP (Separate Function Fork – Big Piston), keep the bike's weight low and centered. Brembo Monobloc braking bits are responsible for slowing the bike down.
Initial Pricing for the 2020 Kawasaki Z H2 has been set at USD17,000 (approximately PHP870,000). There’s no word yet on when the bike will make its appearance in the market.
