American rally driver and drift specialist Ken Block died due to a snowmobile accident.

Block’s last Gymkhana video was titled Elektrikhana, where he rode the Audi’s S1 Hoonitron in Las Vegas.Hoonigan, the brand co-owned by Block, confirmed his passing via a social media post.
“It’s with our deepest regrets that we can confirm that Ken Block passed away in a snowmobile accident today. Ken was a visionary, a pioneer, and an icon. And most importantly, a father and husband. He will be incredibly missed. Please respect the family’s privacy at this time while they grieve and direct all inquiries to Travis Clarke,” Hoonigan wrote in its Instagram post.
Reports say that per the Wasatch County Sheriff's Office, Block was riding a snowmobile on a steep slope. His snowmobile was said to have turned upside down and landed on top of Block.
Block was reportedly pronounced dead on the scene and was said to have suffered injuries due to the accident.
Block was 55.
He is survived by his wife, Lucy Block, and his three kids — the eldest of whom is Lia.
Prior to the accident, Block posted a video when he was in Utah.
“It’s been dumping snow in Park City, Utah this week with more forecasted for the weekend, and we wouldn’t be able to make it out to the ranch without the @SkiDoo sleds and @KubotaUSA machinery to clear the way! Can’t wait to see how much more powder stacks up over the next few days!” Block wrote.
Block’s recent stints included his Elektrikhana video riding Audi’s S1 Hoonitron.
