Kia Philippines has just teased the fourth-generation Kia Carnival.
The photos, released by the Ayala-backed company today, showed that the minivan has already touched Philippine soil, signifying its local retail soon.
In a statement, Kia Philippines shared that the soon-to-be released all-new Carnival will be available in dealerships nationwide within the first quarter of 2022.
“Get ready to take home a stunning and game-changing vehicle that is equipped with bold and technological innovations,” the company said.
The forthcoming introduction locally follows the model’s presence in the neighboring Thailand market, which was made available starting October last year. In Thailand, the all-new Kia Carnival is offered in three trims, Limited, EX, SXL.
The forthcoming local offering will most likely have the Thai-spec power mill, which is a 2.2-liter Smartstream diesel engine paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission. This engine has the capacity to dish out 202 hp.
The third vehicle that dons the new Kia logo, this vehicle also sports a more modern take, thanks to the more “futuristic lines running along the body for a sculpted appearance.” It also has a ‘island roof’ and a new C-pillar design, as well as a diamond pattern reflected throughout the body that designers call a “symphonic architecture.”
Further, the all-new Kia Carnival is still equipped with a power tailgate and sliding door mechanisms.
The second-row seats are fitted with ottoman leg rests that can be power-adjusted and ventilated.
Further, the vehicle is equipped with an automated sliding sunroof and an audio system that is Apple Carplay and Android Auto-ready.
“Truly, the all-new Kia Carnival reflects Kia’s new philosophy of thoughtful design and innovation that aims to inspire consumers to drive full-speed towards their desired future,” Kia Philippines noted, adding that more details will be released soon.
Those who would reserve for their own all-new Carnival may get in touch with the nearest Kia dealership. For a complete list of locations and their respective contact details, head over to www.kia.com/ph.
