Exactly two weeks from now, the Ayala-backed Kia Philippines will be officially unveiling the fourth-generation Carnival in the local market.
The online launch for the upcoming offering will be on February 17. This announcement was made after the Korean automaker's local distributor released a teaser in the middle of January.
The virtual unveiling for the five-door minivan is dubbed “Limitless moments that inspire” — in line with the global corporate slogan “Movement that Inspires” that Kia Philippines has adopted since November last year.
“First moment, unveiling soon,” the company said in the invitation.
The public is invited to watch the online presentation of the all-new Carnival that will be done via official Kia Philippines Facebook and Youtube pages.
To be available in dealerships within the first quarter of 2022, the forthcoming launch of the all-new Kia Carnival follows the model’s presence in the neighboring Thailand market.
This model will likely be powered by a 2.2-liter Smartstream diesel powertrain that is paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission — the same power mill that can be found in the Thai-spec Carnival.
As seen in the earlier photos, the all-new Kia Carnival sports futuristic lines for that chiseled look. It also has the “island roof” with a subtle diamond pattern reflected throughout the body that designers call “symphonic architecture” with the design of the front creating a sense of harmony and structural energy for the rest of the vehicle.
Kia Philippines shared that the all-new Carnival is bound to give passengers first-class treatment with its sliding doors, power tailgate, second-row seats with ottoman leg rest, automated sliding sunroof and infotainment audio system that is compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
