Kia Soul EV Maxx launched in UK
Kia just dropped its latest EV offering in the UK, the Soul EV Maxx, effectively replacing the outgoing First Edition variant and expanding the Soul nameplate.
The Kia Soul EV Maxx will wear the brand’s new badge and will get new metallic paint options: the single-tone Snow White Pearl and a new two-tone Inferno Red body with a black roof. The former will come as a standard finish while the latter can be had as an optional add-on for £575. It also comes in two-tone premium paint options which are Quartz Black with Red and Neptune Blue with Black.
The electrified Soul will feature dual full-LED headlamps and will also ride on 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels.
Inside, UK customers can expect black leather upholstery, heated front seats and steering wheel. It will also feature 10.25-inch touchscreen satellite navigation featuring UVO Connect with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Audio will come from a 10-speaker Harmon/Kardon Premium sound system.
Other driving amenities include adaptive smart cruise control function (SCC), engine start/stop button with smart entry system, and lane follow assist (LFA).
Powering the Kia Soul EV Maxx is the same long-range 64kWh lithium-ion battery that delivers an impressive range of 280 miles on a single charge.
The Kia Soul EV Maxx will be sold in the UK for £32,445.
Kia Philippines once sold the Soul nameplate locally, but was later dropped from the lineup. Currently, Kia’s similar offerings include the Seltos and the Stonic.
