The Kia Stonic is the South Korean carmaker’s latest entry to the local subcompact crossover segment. It was launched here in the Philippines last year and quickly gained a strong following.
Outside, the Kia Stonic features the unmistakable Tiger Nose grille flanked by projector-type halogen headlamps on each side. In addition, the lower trims get front foglamps while the range-topping variant gets the added benefit of having LED DRLs.
It rides on 16-inch alloy wheels and comes with roof rails as standard.
Inside, owners get cloth seats, a three-spoke polyurethane steering wheel, and a polyurethane shift knob. Also standard are the 3.5-inch instrument cluster and the eight-inch infotainment system.
Under the hood is a 1.4-liter mill mated to either a five-speed manual tranny or a six-speed automatic gearbox. It makes somewhere around 93 to 99 horses with 132Nm of torque.

The Ford EcoSport is now considered a staple in the subcompact SUV segment. Outside, it comes with a chrome grille, halogen headlamps, front fog lamps, and rear fog lamps.
It packs 17-inch alloy wheels and also comes with roof rails.
The cabin of the Ford EcoSport features fabric seats, a polyurethane steering wheel, and a polyurethane shift knob. You also get an instrument cluster with a 2.3-inch display screen and a nine-inch infotainment system.
Powering the Trend variants of the EcoSport is a 1.5-liter engine mated to either a five-speed manual or a six-speed automatic. The powertrain setup makes 121 horses with 150Nm of torque.

The exterior of the MG ZS features the brand’s Stardust grille flanked by halogen projector headlamps with adjustable beam height. Meanwhile, the rear combination lights sport the Polaris design.
It rides on either 16- or 17-inch alloy wheels. Roof rails are standard although the highest variant in the lineup gets a panoramic sunroof.
Inside, you get a urethane-style steering wheel (leather-wrapped on the range-topping model), a urethane shift knob (with chrome trims on higher variant), and fabric seats (leather in upper trims).
Power comes from a 1.5-liter engine mated to either a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic. It makes 112 horses with 150Nm of torque.
Its suite of safety features includes airbags, seatbelts, ABS, EBD, and cornering brake control (CBC). The more expensive variant comes with ESP, hill hold control (HHC), TC, vehicle dynamic control (VDC), and brake disc wiping (BDW).
