The trailer of its seventh installment called Furious 7 has just been released and gives us a preview of what to expect in this fast-throttling film when it rolls into theaters on April 3 next year. And yep, the late Paul Walker (or his character) will still be featured in the film as its creator promised.

The Furious 7 trailer starts with Vin Diesel’s crew parachuting while driving a car. The 2-minute clip reveals Dom (Vin Diesel) and the gang rescuing a woman from her abductors that are on board an enclosed bus. It also gives a preview of the cars in the Furious 7. At one point, Walker's character even runs on the roof of the falling bus, trying to catch the wing of Michelle Rodriguez’s character's car (a total lifesaver those car accessories are).
Jason Statham (as Ian Shaw) stars as the film’s antagonist and brother of the Fast & Furious 6 villain Owen Shaw. The plot is simple; Shaw wants revenge for his brother and kills Han Seoul Oh (one of Dominic’s team members and the only recurring character from Tokyo Drift). The “Fast 7” must find out who assassinated one of their own before Shaw finds them first.
Six films and 13 years after it started in 2001, the Fast and Furious franchise has grossed over $2.4 billion in worldwide box-office sales and expectations are very high for what could be the last stop for the beloved fast car series. The film also features Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Tyreese, Ludacris and Jordana Brewster.
With the sudden death of Walker in a car accident in November of last year (perhaps the trailer was timed for release on his anniversary), the film’s producers have to come up with a solution to keep his character alive. And they did.
With a combination of script tweaks, digital effects, and body doubles including two of Paul’s brothers, the movie's creators have managed to keep the departed actor’s character and give him the graceful exit he deserve.
Several teasers have also been released, especially on the Furious 7’s Facebook page including a clip called the “Road to Furious 7”, which shows some scenes from the previous installments.
