KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • Who will replace Hajime Koso as Isuzu Philippines Corporation president?

    He is Noboru Murakami.
  • What were Murakami's previous posts?

Murakami has handled different markets under Isuzu Motors Limited, Japan (IML), thus bringing with him years of experience and expertise in the truck industry.
  • Based on the announcement, Hajime Koso, the company’s longest serving president, will be succeeded by Noboru Murakami, a senior executive from Isuzu Motors Limited, Japan (IML).

Leading the company for seven years, Koso stint led to the numerous company milestones such as the 300,000-sales milestone, introduction of a new parts hub in Metro Manila, introduction of the Isuzu Mobile Medic service, a strong dealer expansion program and the Isuzu outlet standardization, to name a few.

Aside from that, Koso was able to continue the company’s operations during the pandemic, maintained its position as the number one truck company in the country while launching new models to fit the market’s demands.

“Leaving a strong legacy in IPC, Koso also started to introduce a more sustainable path for IPC in the future. This new direction will then be passed on to Murakami, who is expected to drive the company to a more sustainable and eco-friendlier route in the years ahead,” IPC shared in a statement.

Meanwhile, Murakami, prior to his incoming post as IPC head, then handled different markets under IML, thus bringing with him years of experience and expertise in the truck industry that will help solidify the company’s current position in the Philippine truck market.
