Lamborghini announced that the Huracán Sterrato off-road sports car has conquered the Italian Alps, proving its prowess by going “beyond the concrete” and overcoming snow and ice.
One of the key features that allowed the Huracán Sterrato to conquer the snowy mountain range, Lamborghini said, was its special “rally” option. The said mode, the carmaker explained, perfectly complements the Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato’s permanent four-wheel drive setup and offers optimized configurations for dirt and loose surfaces — including snow.
Further, the Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato’s wider tracks and increased ride height made short shrift of the snowy setting. Additionally, the off-road sports car’s Bridgestone Dueler AT002 run-flat tires, which are specially adapted for the all-terrain Huracán, assured maximum performance in wintery conditions.
The aluminum front underbody, reinforced sills and rear diffuser, and enhanced wheel arches protected the Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato from icy obstacles and emphasized its powerful muscularity in the challenging winter sports environment.
All the aforementioned features complement the 5.2-liter V10 engine fitted on the Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato. The powerplant, mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, reportedly makes 601 horses with 560Nm of almost instantaneous torque. This setup also lets the Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato zoom from a standstill to 100 kilometers per hour (kph) in just 3.4 seconds. Top speed is at 260kph.
Per the Sant’Agata Bolognese-based brand, the Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato it brought to the Italian Alps was finished in Bianco Phanes with details in Grigio Telesto and black carbon fiber, including the reinforced wheel arches. However, future owners of the Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato can choose from 350 external finishes and more than 60 interior leather and Alcantara options through the Lamborghini Ad Personam personalization program.
Production of the Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato super sports cars starts this month. Only 1,499 units of the said off-road vehicle will be produced, the automotive marque confirmed.
